Order Cancellation
All orders placed on our site are filled and shipped within one to two business days. If you wish to cancel your order, email us as soon as possible at customerservice@thevirginiamarketplace.com. Once an order is placed with our vendors or shipped, we cannot cancel your order. If the order is for a future date and you wish to cancel it, we will do our best to cancel the order for a $10.00 processing fee ($15.00 for gift baskets) which will be deducted from your refund. If a package is undeliverable and can be reshipped, there is a new shipping fee. If it is not possible to reship there is $10.00 ($12.00 for gift baskets) restocking fee. The shipping fee and restocking fee will be deducted from your refund.
If an order is damaged or lost by UPS, you can either have us reship your order or have us cancel your order once it is officially declared damaged or missing by UPS.
How to Return or Exchange a Purchase
Customer satisfaction is our prime motive. In the unlikely event that an item you purchased is damaged or defective, we will replace or refund your purchase if it is eligible. Otherwise, food items are not returnable.
REVIEW YOUR ORDER AND SHIPPING ADDRESS before placing your order. You are responsible for an order once it is submitted. We are not responsible for orders placed incorrectly.
Perishable and NonPerishable Products
If an item you have purchased from us is damaged or defective, please email us immediately at customerservice@thevirginiamarketplace.com with a written explanation. Defective or damaged products must be returned in the original packaging to qualify for a refund or replacement. Please do not return any product to us without our written approval. Please keep the product and the original packaging. Please mail the item in its original packaging, the written approval and the packing slip to the address on the written approval.
Please note that you are responsible for all shipping and handling costs when effecting a return.
Smithfield and Rowena Products
If an item you have purchased from us is damaged or defective, please email us immediately at customerservice@thevirginiamarketplace.com with a written explanation. Defective or damaged products must be returned in the original packaging to qualify for a refund or replacement. Genuine Smithfield Hams and Country hams are very salty and are not appropriate for everyone's taste. No refunds or credits will be issued for the salty nature of this product.) Please do not return any product to us without written approval. We will respond with a proper resolution. If you are due a credit from us, we will issue you a return check promptly.
